image My first position in construction involved catching lizards and pounding nails into scrap wood on my Dad’s job sites. From age 10 on, summers, weekends, and finally 40-60 hour workweeks were spent under my father’s tutelage. It was hard, and sometimes less than rewarding, but he taught me to appreciate the beauty and value of the materials we were using and to only be satisfied with the best product I could produce. Having refinished my first floor at 16, I have been putting his teachings to use for over 15 years.
